Manchester Blast

Manchester Blast was surely a terrible events killing dozens of teenagers in the concert. As soon as the blast news was broadcasted in the media, the family members started to contact their loved ones. In that chaos they were unable to contact with each other; however, twitter helped to reunite them. The family and friends started to post the pictures of the concertgoers on twitter, which enabled people to identify the missing teenagers. The most used hashtags were #Manchester and #Manchesterarena. Even though twitter is often criticised for its overuse by teenagers, it proved helpful in finding people during and after the event.


The nearby hotels, houses and Taxi companies also used hashtags like #Manchester and #RoomforManchester to give free food and shelter to stranded concertgoers. The support from social media turned out be one of the biggest proofs of humanity and kindness in 2017. In short, the social played a positive role during and after that terrible event. It created a sense of love and mutual respect among Manchester residents and supported recovery efforts, crises management and a strong voice against terror and extremism. In addition, the social media did not went against any religion, rather stood against the radical people by being united.
